The European Commission has approved the co-financing of the Hellenic Cadastre

Under the Operational Program "Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation" of the NSRF 2014-2020, the European Commission approved on 23-1-2019 the co-financing of the large project of the Hellenic Cadastre for the land registry of the rest of the country. In particular, the project titled "Drawing up Temporary Cadastral Sites and Creating Cadastral Suspension Database in Areas of the Fourth Generation Cadastre", eligible expenditure of 320 million euro, is co-funded for the amount of 83.5 million euro.

The fourth generation of cadastre (KIMA-16), which is already underway with the collection of declarations in 40 regional units since last November, concerns the filing of 16.5 million allowances in an area corresponding to 63% of the total land area, thus completing the National Cadastre.

This decision of the European Commission recognizes in the most categorical way the importance and priority given to the country by the work of the National Cadastre as a tool for the productive reconstruction and the development of the Greek economy and the upgrading of services to the citizen, with a view to safeguarding the public interest. At the same time, it confirms the confidence of the European Commission in the design and implementation of the project by the Hellenic Cadastre Agency.
